Another great game by Strasburg. 10 more strikeouts and 0 walks. His pitching is as good (maybe even better) than advertised. Once again the most amazing stat for this game is ZERO WALKS!!! That is amazing for a young pitcher like Stephen Strasburg. He can throw all his pitches for strikes and doesn’t need to rely on a crazy sinker that people will learn to lay off or a curve that always ends up in the dirt or anything like that. He can get all his pitches across the plate and the hitters can’t connect on them. His WHIP is an amazing 0.78.  The best pitchers in the league would wet their pants if they could keep a WHIP of around 1.00 throughout the season (or even a game) and Strasburg is blowing them away.

Not as great as his debut but still only allowing one run over 5.1 innings is pretty impressive. He only allowed 2 hits but he gave up 5 walks so his control wasn’t as good as the first game but that is to be expected. He isn’t gonna go through many games without walking anybody but 5 might be a bit high for only 5.1 innings. He also wasn’t through strikes at the same rate but he got the win and got some good run support from his team. 22 strikeouts through 2 games is the second best total ever. Strasburg is still looking great. Time to look forward to the next game.

Totally insane debut. Totally lived up to the hype. Most impressive stat: 0 walks! Add in 14 strikeouts and that is pretty dang amazing.
